When A Loved One Chooses Support
Providing Trusted and Quality Support within Home and Community Settings
Why Choose Aveanna Healthcare?
At Aveanna, we strive to provide supported, easy-to-understand, and 1:1 individualized services that are unique to each individual we support. A consumer’s specific interests, levels of care, talents, abilities, and goals as outlined in their Individual Support Plan pave the way for our team to build a foundation that provides support. From the first conversation you have with an Aveanna representative to the personalized support a Direct Support Professional provides, we can be a great asset to your team.
How to Qualify?
The home- and community-based support services we provide are paid for entirely by the ODP waiver. If you need support with enrollment into the ODP waiver, Aveanna will be happy to guide you to the right resources.

What Care is Available?
Aveanna provides home- and community-based support services to adults enrolled within the Office of Developmental Programs (ODP) waiver system.
The population we serve includes individuals on the Autism Spectrum and/or individuals with an Intellectual/Developmental Disability diagnosis. Our consumers reside independently in their own homes or with a natural supportive caregiver. The services we currently provide are: Companion Care, In-Home and Community Supports, Respite Care, and more.
Our internal and external staff are trained annually in areas that include, but are not limited to, person-centered practices, individual rights, and health/safety in the home and community. In addition, we also offer and help facilitate person-specific staff training for individuals who have specialized needs. It’s our goal to help the population we support achieve access to an Everyday Life and achieve their individualized outcomes within their home and community.
Janet 's Aveanna Story
Janet currently has two Direct Support Professionals on her team — Erin and Christina. She loves to dress to match them whenever she can by wearing her Aveanna shirt when they visit.
The companion services Erin and Christina provide help keep Janet happy, healthy, active, and engaged with her community. They support her in meal prepping, going for walks by the river, and running errands.
In the four years that she’s been part of the Aveanna family, Janet has benefited in many ways from the care that her team provides. But the change we’ve been most excited to see in Janet has been her growth in speaking up for herself.
Janet used to just become quiet when she didn’t like something or felt uncomfortable. Our team members worked with her to help her learn to advocate for herself and speak up if she’s unhappy, nervous, or unsure.
We’re so proud of the progress Janet has made and feel privileged to know her and be part of her life.
A Person-Centered Approach
At Aveanna, our focus is to provide our consumers with the best possible support attainable. Our person-first mindset leads us to build a Participant/ Direct Support Professional team suitable to each individual’s personalized needs. Regardless of their background, experience, and knowledge of ID/A, every Direct Support Professional is put through a training program outlining person-centered care, safety procedures, communication, ODP regulations, and ID/A literature before being matched with a participant.
