• Eat foods that include protein, fruits, whole grains, nuts, seeds, and oils.

• Add vegetables to your diet. They are rich in phytochemicals, vitamins, and minerals.

• Focus on eating a well-balanced diet that is rich in whole, fresh foods.

• Avoid eating processed foods and junk food.

When healing from illness or surgery, fuel your body with foods that promote healing. Foods such as salmon, nuts, and cruciferous vegetables can help you heal faster. Get plenty of rest, stay hydrated, and avoid smoking or drinking alcohol while you recover.
